Q: I’m afraid of having my picture taken. Can you help?
A: I hear this a lot! We’ll get to the bottom of the anxiety and then coach you up for great results.
Q: How do I prepare for the session?
A: We’ll send you a link to our guide when you’ve booked your session! You can also find the info on our blog under the “Client Tips” category. In it we’ll share tips for wardrobe, hair, and more.
Q: Do you have a studio?
A: No. We travel and set up a mobile studio at your place of work or on location in a town, park, or your event venue. If your session requires an indoor studio environment away from your office then I can rent studio space depending on your exact requirements.
Q: For teams how long does each person need? Can we do more than one outfit?
A: We allot 6-10 minutes per person for group headshot sessions and the include only head and shoulder views. Time allows for a couple upper body looks such as tie on, tie off, or a change of shirt. If you need a second background for each individual then that’s an available option for an extra charge. Allow 2x the time. Let us know what you have in mind and we can make a recommendation and custom quote.
Q: Do you have weekend or evening availability?
A: Yes, while most of our corporate headshot clients are weekday 9-5ers, many of our clients are looking for other options or need weekend events captured. Let’s compare calendars and find a time that works!
Q: This costs quite a bit more than an Ai headshot. How is this better than an A.I. generated headshot?
A: A.I. can only work with what you give it. It can not coach expressions or light your face to best flatter your features. A.I. headshots are dependent on the lighting, image resolution, and the facial expressions in your reference photo/s. Lens distortion and other flaws from the source will flaw the AI renders too.
We use portrait lenses that render your facial proportions accurately. We provide custom lighting that will custom highlight YOUR strongest features, especially your eyes.
We’re also going to provide direction to observe and influence your expressions in real time, creating custom images where we can capture your true expressions and capture you in your chosen places (real and recognizable spaces). Have you seen the A.I. altered expressions with the strange teeth or the super fake backgrounds?
For me it’s a hard pass on A.I. headshots for most uses…unless you’re just playing around to see yourself as a wizard, an elf, or something awesome like that. ? You are welcome to run our photos through a service for such renderings. I’d love to see it!
